North Wales Wings is a small region which stretches over a large area from North West Wales and Ynys Mon (Isle of Angelsey), over Snowdonia, accross to North East Wales and down as far as the Brecon Beacons in Mid Wales. It was formed around August 1981, which makes us one of the oldest regions in GWOCGB. The region has grown and developed over the years seeing many changes.
Regional Rep – Christine Prescott. has been a member for over eleven years and has held various positions in the region during that time. She has always been supported by husband Allen.
Runs Co-ordinator - Llew Edwards is assisted by Dave Scrivens. Both Llew and Dave have a Classic GoldWing. Below are pictures of some of the members of North Wales Wings Region and their GoldWings.
- Meetings are on the first Sunday of the month. From January 2010 we have a new watering hole at the Best Western Waterloo Hotel and Lodge, Betws-y-Coed,Snowdonia-in the heart of North Wales. We will make you very welcome as a visitor, new member or if you haven't joined us before. Members take part in as much or as little as they want to but often are spoiled for choice of what to do or where to go. We often go in search of ice cream!
- We have a diary of runs to interesting places and like to join in with other regions in their activities. Over the years we have covered a large part of North Wales and neighbouring areas. There is a full calendar on our What's On? page. If you are new to Winging and group riding there are some tips and guidelines for safety on the Group Riding page.
- Throughout the year we take part in various events, when requested, to raise money for charity. Our Wingers of course see this as another excuse(do you need an excuse?) to ride their Gold Wings. Without the support and involvement of our members,(and their wives whether they ri de or not). these would not be the success which they always are.
- Our Features page gives a snapshot view of activities and our Gallery page has a variety of photos from the 2000 Andorran Drop Out in the Pyrenees, to the present day.
